Audy Marton recently joined Faber Daeufer & Itrato as the firm’s newest Counsel. With a strong background in technology and intellectual property transactions, Marton brings experience supporting cloud, internet of things, medical devices and artificial intelligence, as well as various other software and hardware initiatives. “She has considerable experience working on software-related agreements, including SaaS Agreements and software licenses, and other technology-related agreements, in both commercial and academic environments,” said Faber Senior Counsel Jacqui Hall. “She also has significant expertise in advising clients on privacy issues related to use of such technology.”

Marton most recently worked at Harvard University in the Office of Technology Development, where she primarily supported research and licensing for the Wyss Institute. She said that her decision to join Faber represented an exciting return to software licensing in the biotech space. “The firm has a phenomenal reputation,” said Marton, adding that every person she conversed with about the opportunity spoke highly about numerous Faber attorneys, even when they had served as opposing counsel.

Though she was initially unaware of Faber’s philanthropic and equity commitments, Marton said that she quickly learned of them and their importance to the firm while researching the position. “It was something that really impressed me as I was preparing for my interviews. I especially was wowed by the Black Civil Rights Employee Education Experience which to me reflected a real commitment to employee enrichment in connection with public service.”

With her significant experience in technology and IP transactions, Marton will be a valuable asset to Faber’s scope of service, and ability to thoughtfully address the needs of clients.
