Melissa Paddock has extensive experience representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies in a wide range of intellectual property, R&D, and commercial transactions.  Melissa advises clients in structuring, drafting, and negotiating collaboration and licensing arrangements, as well as clinical trial, sponsored research, contract services, manufacturing, technology evaluation, and other life sciences agreements.   Prior to joining Faber, Melissa worked as in-house contracts counsel at a gene therapy company after practicing for six years in the strategic technology transactions and licensing group of a leading global law firm.

Melissa began her legal career representing life sciences companies as an IP litigator, with an emphasis in patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act.  Prior to attending law school, Melissa worked as a chemical engineer for Hoffman-LaRoche.
