Faber Daeufer & Itrato PC welcomes Katisha Brown as a new member of the firm’s contracts specialist team. “Like most of our team, Katisha brings extensive in-house experience in day-to-day R&D contracting for large and small biopharma companies,” said Linda DeGraw, Associate Director of Contracts Specialists at Faber. “She will be a terrific addition to our contracts specialist team, who seek to help the firm’s clients with a careful yet pragmatic perspective.”

Brown has helped draft, negotiate and administer a wide range of template-based agreements in support of biopharmaceutical R&D operations. Prior to her arrival at Faber, Brown served as a Senior Contracts Manager with Kintai Therapeutics, Inc. and an Associate Contract Manager at Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

As explained by DeGraw, Brown will work under the supervision of the firm’s attorneys to assist clients with drafting and negotiating confidentiality, service, consulting, clinical trial and related agreements for preclinical development and global clinical studies.

When asked what influenced her decision to pursue employment with Faber, Brown explained that Faber was a valuable resource for her when she worked as an in-house contract specialist. When an opening with the firm became available, she jumped at the opportunity. “Faber has an impeccable track record and reputation. The firm is well-known in the biotech industry for strong communication and working closely with client operations teams, and a vast experience base from handling a wide range of contractual matters involving so many players in the industry.”

A graduate of the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, Brown said that Faber’s commitment to philanthropy also influenced her choice. “The firm’s philanthropic efforts had a large impact on my decision to apply for employment at Faber,” explained Brown. “I am eager to be a member of the team and participate in all philanthropic endeavors. I was especially drawn to the firm’s commitment to the Special Olympics. As a former Division 1 student-athlete, I would love to volunteer and help others discover their strengths and abilities through the power of sports.”

During her time at Faber, Brown hopes to grow as a legal professional and expand her legal career, as she serves clients, expands her knowledge base and learns from her colleagues.
